This museum is excellently laid out with very clear, informative and entertaining videos of the Border's engagements across the world. The staff are very helpful and it is well worth a visit if you are in the area.

A very well presented museum, a great tribute to our brave men of years gone by right up to present day. Loads inside to see and touch. Takes you back and everything on display can be explained to you.

The museum displays the history of this much-contested borderland between centuries of warring kings, as told through the eyes pf the regiment that defended Carlisle and Carlisle Castle.

Currently in the process of moving to bigger premises, there is an astonishing collection of memorabilia which deserves to be displayed and shared. Fascinating and the highlight of our visit to Carlisle Castle.
