Ahh thank you Eileen. Look forward to seeing you in the nursery perhaps, when you start to implement those ideas :-). We propagate much of nursery stock using plants from the Gardens.

Easy to find and afterwards we visited West Mersea Island. We went in early summer, but equally autumn and winter could be very interesting. Good tea-room. The gardens are closed on Sundays.

Thank you for your comments. Coming into the autumn many plants start to loose their leaves, especially after the summer we have just experienced. I've just taken a stroll around the nursery and the plants look stunning, other than perhaps the Hostas which are also...More

Spent a relaxed, enjoyable sunny afternoon wandering around Beth Chatto Gardens, photos do not do them justice. Although not large they are hugely varied with different planting’s for dry, shady, sunny and wet areas. Easy to stroll round with plenty of seats to sit on...More

We visited this garden today and were bold over with the beautiful garden. The ponds are wonderful and the planting is fabulous. The cafe had some wonderful food on offer, and garden sale of plants were in plenty.
