T.his country park is a peaceful tranquil spot which one wouldnot expect to find in this built up industrial area. A walk around the lake will take around 45 minutes, however it is so pleasant to sit a while on the many benches provided and enjoy the calm .and peace. Not many activities for children except for a small climbing... More

Thrybergh Country Park is based on a disuesed reservoir. There is a campsite and a walk of around 1.5 miles around the reservoir. The start point is a pay and display car park. It is only £1.50 and helps with the upkeep of the park. There is a cafe and an information centre. There are also hundreds of water birds.... More

A lovely country park we had been out for afternoon tea and stumbled on this lovely park by accident, its great, quite muddy so wellies would be ideal, toilets which are clean and a lovely little café which you can buy duck food for. Also a little park. We walked all the way round slowly as the children were exploring... More

It is about 1.5 miles to walk all the way round Thrybergh Country Walk, and on a nice day it is a beautiful scene. Can be a bit muddy, so be prepared. Haven't been in the cafe recently, but it used to be ok. Will try it sometime soon.

Great place for a gentle stroll or run. Toilets and a cafe. They close part of it in the Winter but you just turn back on yourself to complete the circuit. It's not a problem 70 pence (?) for parking , bring change !

Ideal walk for adults that like to see wild life close up, footpath leads round the perimeter of the lake, with some seating available if you want to take a breather. Café on site with a decent menu and a good cupa, not expensive either. Car parking, again is not expensive, along with toilets (free) in the main office and... More
