Visited on a Friday which was market day. The people were all helpful and friendly and the old buildings worth looking up from the market stalls for. Bought some lovely artisan cakes (excellent prices by London standards) and decent chips for lunch. Downside a few...More

First visit to Stamford, what a beautiful place, the town centre shops have not be made to look modern but created within the old buildings so its unspoilt, lots of places to eat or just have a coffee...cant wait to have another visit.

Hi John, there is no early closing day in Stamford. Some shops choose to close if not busy as you would find in many other small towns.
