There were a large and varied number of stalls .bUtler outside were easy to view but not the inside ones due to the number of people. As is ideal the goods were a little expensive as was the refreshments .

Despite the chilly, wet weather, the greeting we got from the santa-hatted staff at in the car park couldn’t have been warmer. It set the tone for a lovely, cheery day. The house and grounds looked fabulously festive with beautiful decorations and seasonal music wafting...More

Cars were parked everywhere and it was so busy that at times you couldn't move. Dogs were aloud in so you had to watch where you walked as they were fouling where they wanted. Lots of high priced stalls but nothing more craft and Xmas...More

Was up there for the Christmas market and loved the grounds and looking at the buildings, but found the market to be way too crowded and a little disappointing. If you go, go first thing to beat the crowd.

Spectacular house and beautiful gardens, you need plenty of time to explore Burghley House - but boy! Is it worth it! Fully furnished and every inch full of history, the House tells its own magnificent story. A week would not have exhausted its treasures!

We had seen the beautiful outer facades of Burghley house while at the Horse Trials, but finally made it inside. The scale of the building is amazing, while the painted ceilings and walls are quite jaw-dropping in their size and superb colours. The art works...More
