Live near Wakefield and frequent this pub regularly. I find it easy and typically old style English in its ways. Plenty of selection of beers, ales and lagers, covers all aspects of a pub...ie pool table, darts, t.v's etc. A pint of lager costs £1.70...More

Made the mistake of going in the Wakey Tavern when we first moved to Wakefield but had the sense to walk out before ordering anything. Intimdating atmosphere as soon as you step through the door, full of drunks and people who just look like trouble....More

After they hosted a march by the EDL in 2013 I have avoided this place, but was out with a group of friends who wanted to call in, so went along. It is a pretty standard pub but was full of overly drunk people watching...More
