Popped up to Scotland via Darlington and the staff are extremely helpful and always on hand to answer any “random” questions...... first class lounge is relaxing and full of complementary food and drink, a true first class service.

Whilst this comment could reflect upon the state of the railway infrastructure as a whole, Darlington has an air of despondency above all others. As a general observation, the platform and ticket office staff give the impression that they would rather be anywhere else, than...More

The station is the originating point of the first rail line in England (Darlington to Stockton). I was disappointed not to see more of the history made

The railways started in this part of the world. If you love the railways then this is a must visit. Also suggest you visit the museum which was the original station and then head to Shildon.

Found it a very clean station helpful enough staff. Well enough served with taxis. Doun fall was bridge into station didn't have any assistance for disabled given car park next to it. Apart from that would give a8/10

I love this station, it's small so easy to navigate, yet you get to travel to so many places from here. It's £11 to park all day, you then walk over the bridge to the station but are protected by CCTV, you pay when you...More

There are barriers with staff so you would need their permission which I am sure they would not withold. If it very late the gates may well be left open.
