The jewel in the crown is Stephenson's Locomotion engine, but there are plenty of other things to see. The Victorian toilet display is very quirky and there is a fascinating model showing the course of the original railway.

Quite a small museum but with a lot of interesting artifacts, film and some interesting locomotives including the original Locomotion engine built in 1825. A very neat, tidy and clean museum with good staff.
