We are regular visitors to the Regent Theatre and being visually impaired the staff here are fantastic, if really busy I use the side entrance earmarked for the disabled, staff always offer to show us to our seats and if needed but I usually don't like to bother then but they will pop back during the interval to offer assistance... Great venue showing a varied programme of shows and artists. I have visited often. Comfortable seats good view all round. I have sat stalls circle boxes front back left and right all equally good. It does get hot in the circle so wear light clothes up there! All in all great!

From the outside it looks like a very old and tired cinema and although it was not very modern I was pleasantly surprised. Large auditorium with a balcony very comfortable seating, felt fresh and clean and a lot more comfortable than some west end theaters I have been to. We saw Paul Carrack who was superb and the sound quality... More

At approx 40 mins from me, this is the nearest theatre of any decent size that hosts reasonably big names. Chelmsford is nearer, but offers much less. The theatre itself is lovely: gorgeous ceiling! Decent bar, though I often just bring my own water. Good combination of tribute acts, big(ish) name acts, comedy and sometimes touring London shows. Wasn't sure... More

Went to see Lord of the Dance. Local parking a bit of a nightmare,£6.50 for the NCP nearby. Theatre very welcoming, clean and comfortable. Good views of the stage, clear sound. Interval ice cream delicious!

Very disappointing. After 3 songs he left the stage for his backing singers to sing tribute songs. The band is so loud can barely hear Alexander and he is mumbling. At 63 if he can't perform any more help should just quit.

Brilliant for shows that travel the country. Price range caries depending on what you see. Operas are always good here. The local dramatic society always put on a top rated show. All has been updated and redecorated here. You can wear all sorts of clothes. Don't feel you have to dress up BUT of course you can! Look online and... More

Theatre is a nice design with seating curved around the stage. We sat in the 2nd row of the circle and had a excellent view of the stage. Seats were reasonably comfortable for a 2 hour show. Theatre was full but crowds exit quite quickly. Plenty of parking close by. They seem to have a good level of entertainer who... More

Went to the Laughter and Legends evening with Rick Wakeman, Roger De Courcey, and Chas McDevitt plus a number of other acts including Ian Larkin and The Young Nomads from Newmarket. The theatre is lovely, very comfortable and parking nearby is a bonus. The show was amazing, very professional and well organised by the Suffolk Masons. We had a great... More
