It may be a bit spit and sawdust, but the excellent selection of real ales and ciders makes it a very good destination for any that are fans of such drinks. I certainly recommend a visit.

I take issue with the bloke who said he would not take his wife there. My better half would love it. Full of character(s) and well brewed, well kept beer. I shall return when I can.

St Jude's is by far my favorite pub in Ipswich and one of the nicest ones I've ever been to. The atmosphere is unique, people are friendly and you get to meet some really interesting characters there :)

this is the best "proper beer" house in the local area- different types and you can try them before buying - they brew their own and the pub is a great place to socialise.
