The copper mines are an absolute necessity if your visiting the Great Orme. The pricing is fair and the value for money is good. The history and the enormity of the structure is fascinating and quite mind-blowing. The most shocking part of all is the fact that prior to the mines being discovered, the whole area was due to be... More

This was a working mine 4000 years ago and it is fascinating to step back in history to see how it evolved. A splendid way to pass two or three hours and learn about our past. The staff were very helpful and made the visit complete.

Whilst on a day out on the Orme we ventured into the working ,but not too deeply . It was fascinating to see with a little help , guidance and some imagination , what it must have been like to work without modern technology . Beneficial insight .

At the top of the orme is great find we went out of season so could only get there by walking or car free car park at mine, the mine is really interesting and views are amazing, not accessible as steep stairs thin uneven pathways, however it is self guided walk through mine steeped in history really interesting for all... I've never been down a mine before but will be visiting this one again. The set up is good and very atmospheric.

A great place to visit in the summer holidays with kids, exploring the bronze age copper mines, not a long walk around and can be completed in less than an hour the travel on the tram way adds to the experience. some sections of the tunnels are simply breathtaking. some steep slopes so avoid heels when attending.

When we were visiting the Great Orme we did not even know that a copper mine existed here. its a short self guided tour but well worth the visit wit the kids.

Has gone up in price since our last visit, making it too expensive. Nice gift shop attached but would like to see some British fossils rather than just the generic madigascan material.
