summer visit

visited this in the summer, the restaurant is now very close to the cliff edge. any more storms like last year, will see this building disappear over the cliffs!

The walks from here are just great - either way, up and over to the Cuckmere (or the Exceat I think it's also known as), up the way to Beachy Head, or back into East Dene. We like the walk past the little community back towards Cuckmere. We didn't try the coffee shop, so can't comment

Nature at its best. Sad the future so umcertain. 7 Sisters so great. Move on to Cuckmere and the pub micro brew for lunch.

Good walking country. Interesting Education Centre and a great little shop. An interesting and dramatic part of the coast.

Lovely quiet natural beach. National trust cafe serves good snacks. Toilets are ok. Plenty of cheap parking. Great views.

Now commercialised cafe and carpark but nevertheless an experience not to miss. This coastline is gradually disappearing so take loads of photographs of the area and remaining cottages. Nice beach but you cannot help but be overwelmed and distracted by the history and changing coastline!

Went there instead of Beachy Head. The car park was very very busy. The NT shop was good as was the cafe.

Stopped here on the way to eastbourne with my niece!! I should imagine on a nice day the car park would fill up quickly so get here early however there are other carparks within walking distance! There is a nice little cafe here which is perfect after a long walk along the cliffs. The beach is stones but is beautiful... More

This is a very scenic part of the downs with striking views and a nice updated cafe. It can be very dramatic in the winter months. Go down the steep steps and if the tides right out you can walk along the beach for a good look at the lighthouse and be achy head
