There have been at least 3 or 4 incarnations of the North Lakes Farmers Markets and none of them has been a success! Not sure if it's due to poor organisation, woeful marketing, or whatever else, but these have been a disappointment right from the start.
Measly array of stalls, probably the worst market I've ever visited. A real shame, to be honest, as I would've thought they would attract a lot of patronage given the population and demographics of the North Lakes area.

New sat market, had some great crafts and an excellent plant stall with cheap healthy pots.

Also a stall that sold Indonesian items and have a huge shop out at naranbah.

Not a big market but had some nice things to buy and a pleasant way to get some steps in.

We've tried this market 3 times now, the first was when they where in their original position on the Westfield s/c rooftop parking just before they were relocated to Masters carpark across the road. Though there were more stalls than the poor excuse we see at Masters now, there still wasn't anything to rave about or recommend, perhaps stall holders had already moved on. On the first visit to the Masters location there were I think 3 stalls and the coffee van who looked to be closed up. I'm not sure who or how these markets are marketed but please those in the know, source and encourage the fantastically talented locals in and around the surrounding suburbs of North Lakes. We love local art, locally grown produce (come on we have the fabulous glass house mountains within cooee where there is an abundance of fresh farmed goods) Fresh and REAL Free range eggs and homemade foods and I know there are a few people in and around this area that make delectable cupcakes, there is also a cheesecake lady. Where is the coffee man gone that made his own (oh so smooth) coffee with beans sourced from.... umm? PNG maybe? We need something for the kids and I'm sure I've seen people advertise their gigantic air inflated slides or alike. Surely you can get someone with a barbie to sell snags on bread and bacon & eggs rolls with cold drink offerings. The space in its current location is limitless plus ample car parking in and around so what's the problem?

We wanted to try these markets on a Sunday morning to see if we could purchase our weekly fruit and veg fresh from growers. North Lakes Farmers Markets are ideally located to take advantage of the area's growing population. Lots of parking and easy access for market goers but sadly only a couple of growers there and not much else. No choices for breakfast if you wanted it either. It does have a coffee van, fish monger and fruit stall as well as a man selling nice free range eggs. But compared to other markets, not a good experience for us which was a shame.
