This is a very pretty part of the city, mostly residential with lots of views of the water. Water surrounds this city, so this development takes advantage of that.

What a picturesque, serene lake. There were lots of swans, duck and their families 💝 Pigeons in flock were roaming there too. Absolutely divine experience if you are visiting with family and the joy of seeing so many birds just walking besides you, stays long in our memories.
Would recommend visiting this place to fellow travellers. A lovely walk can be taken around the lake.
Feed the birds on your own risk🙂

Fantastic lake and park area, with large fountain. There are some lovely swans and other wildlife here. You can have a relaxing stroll or sit on a bench and take in the beautiful views. This is in east walking distance of the harbour, port and old town.

A nice lake in the center of Stavanger. The Dome is close by, and on one side older buildings. It is a nice little walk to go around it.

After visiting the cathedral, I happened upon a beautiful lake in the center of the charming city of Stavanger, Norway. We had great weather the day we were there so I was able to enjoy the lake, fountain and the area. The lake is the home of various birds, such as swans, seagulls, ducks, and sparrows. I only saw the beautiful swans skimming the lake’s waters and a man feeding the pigeons. Across the lake from my position, I could see the modern part of the city. I read the lake in the park is in the shape of a heart! It looks like an ideal place for relaxation but if you are on a cruise your time in port is limited.

A small lake and fountain in the heart of Stavanger. The lake is the home of a lot of birds such as ducks and swans. If you walk around the lake, you can sometime catch the swan and their nest. The lake has benches all around if you want to sit and enjoy the view. During Christmas time, the area has loads of lights in the trees around, as well as lit up hearts in one of the bigger ones. During the summer months there is a lot of happenings around the pavilion that is located below the big Church - often for small kids.

Friday 7th September we were sightseeing in Stavanger and we visited the charming City Park, Kiellandshagen, in the heart of Stavanger where this lake is situated.

The lake is only a short stroll from the Cathedral School and the Cathedral, the train station is also near by.

Breiavatnet is a small lake and is not very deep. The lake gets its water from a stream, which runs through the city, mostly underground.

There is a decorative fountain in the middle of the lake, which was working when we visited, made the lake interesting and worth looking at.

The lake is home to a variety of birds, such as swans, seagulls, ducks, and sparrows. Did not see any fish in the water.

It was really nice strolling around the park and it's lake, thankfully it was not raining. There are plenty of seats around to sit, relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity.

This natural lake is located right in the center of Stavanger. Since the railway and bus station are located on the southern shore, this lake may be the first or last attraction of Stavanger that a tourist sees. I indulged in the pleasure of walking around the perimeter of the lake and looking at the swans and ducks. The most interesting monument on the shore is a statue of a gazelle in memory of the emigration of Norwegians to America. There is also a crocodile. According to legend, in the 19th century there was trout in the lake, and there was a dispute between the director of the school on the shore and other homeowners for the right to catch trout. Now I didn’t notice anyone with fishing rods on the shore.
