So up a flight of stairs there is like a little farmstead saved and changed into a museum of Alesund culture and history. Nice bathrooms. Another chance for an interesting view of the harbor only closer to the harbor.

The museum is accessible to all language speakers and very nice. As others have mentioned the life boat exhibit was our favorite. We also enjoyed speaking with the staff. Definitely an opportunity to learn about the town!

The life boat exhibit was the best point of interest to us. Be sure to get inside the lifeboat and see what it felt like to be in that situation. The museum was full of interesting facts about Aalesund.

This was a nice and charming museum with good information about Aslesund. They had guides on each floor for multiple languages to read as you walked through. I enjoyed the museum.

Have been to this museum many times, but, this time we had a special private group. The new manager / guide was very good. Well worth a visit.
