A must-do if you like hiking and want to see some beautiful scenery. It took 4 hours of walking and a few breaks, in total 5 hours. I would recommend going from Ulriken to Floyen as you will finish the hike in the center of...More

I could not have hiked this trail without the help of some strangers. There were many places where my 160 cm height meant my legs were too short to climb or descend the steep rock formations that were part of the trail. I love hiking...More

We walked from Bergen center to Flöyen, then hiked to Ulriken, back to Bergen. A total of 6:30 hours. A must do, you need to like to walk a lot, various terrains, some “climbing”, have good shoes. Also be prepared for weather changes.

Tough hike but well worth the effort. Took the binocular up Floyen and hiked to Uriken. Took us nearly five hours on a hot wonderfully sunny day. Bring much water. Crowded in parts secluded in others but the views are breathtaking.

We wanted to hike the mountains, but realized it would be much better with a guide. It isn't easy to follow the trail, especially from the start, but we lucked out and found Bergen Base Camp on a walk through the port area. We booked...More

I have hiked this trail two times, and both times at night. I have started at mt Fløyen and walked till mt Ulrikken. It is a really good hike. If you walk at night you will see a magnificent sunset and sunrise. Recomended.

This hike is great with a lot of variety in the scenery as you get through it is. It is quite long and don't expect it to be 'a quick stroll'. Recommend doing it from Ulriken to Floyen to be easier on the legs, and...More

We walked up to top of Ulriken as the cable car was closed. We knew in advance it was closed, so we’re prepared. The walk up took a little over an hour and is quite strenuous, especially in full sun. We then did the rather...More

We took this route on a unusually hot summer day . It was 30°C outside so, not your usual Bergen weather. The trip is not so hard but there are difficult places. Overall a great hike.

Did this hike with my 17 and 22 year old children. It was definitely worth doing for the views of Bergen. There were also runners doing this if you want a challenging work out.

Hei Sue, well depends on how much time you have... Driving with a rented car is awesome, with all the nature and areas you would pass... it take 8 hours just driving without stops... train (bergensbanen) is nice aswell... More
