When we got off the cruise ship we asked for a map and recommended places to visit. The 1 st thing we were told that at 11:00 this morning there will be a free concert at the Cathedral. We walked in and the cathedral was...More

This is an gem central located at the city square. It's from late 1800 and just went through a bit of renovation. It stands proudly as a landmark together with the citys fire tower in city hall right across from it.

This wonderful cathedral is in the heart of Kristiansand. A Neo-Gothic cathedral built in 1884. Wonderful viewing inside this church with excellent acoustics. We were able to listen to a one hour free organ recital and I was extremely impressed with the atmosphere it created....More

The Kristiansand Domkirke is a beautiful centrally located church. We were privileged to listen to a 1 hour organ concert that was free. Beware of the Roma (gypsies) beggers outside of the church and in the central part of town. This will pester you if...More

We were supposed to go on a tour but instead spent our time exploring the town. They had a pipe organ presentation at the church and a nice town to visit.

This is ile of the biggest Lutheran churches in Norway. There was a restoration work so we had to walk around the block to enter. There was an active refugee aid program with fliers and pamphlets. The style of this church has a Nordic structure...More

A major landmark in the town of Kristiansand. It is still a working church. When we went it was a Sunday, and it was partly obscured by construction and fences. Still worth going in to admire the lovely architecture and soak up the ambiance.
