Wonderful area for a sunday walk

We enjoy the area of Odderøya when we want to go for a walk close to the city. A few other nice alternatives are Ravnedalen or Baneheia.

Just across a small bridge bear the harbour of Kristiansand you find peaceful and scenic walking areas with a historic toutch as well. Odderøya used to be a fortress and military area up to rescently. The view is amazing

When I lived in the center of K-town this was the best way to escape from the vibrant and noisy town. You get a wonderful view, fresh ocean air, and nice hiking trails just ten minutes from Ktown city center.

Odderøya has many point of interest and is a popular recreational area close to Kristiansand city. Easy access, but not all trails are friendly for wheelchair. Lots of great views of the city fjord. Great for hiking. Some festivals, like Skvupp- festival in the beginning of august is arranged her, among others.

Odderøya is first of all a very old fortress that was originally used as a hospital for Colera back in the 1600. After that the Roal Norwegian Navy used it for different purpose. Today it is a place for different artists such as arts and crafts and it is also the base for Kristiansand Veterans Company and any kind of... More

Note: Cafe is only open on Sundays. Odderøya is a nice island with some asphalt paths and "hiking" paths. You can reach the cafe by wheelchair if you want, but you need a strong person for pushing because the road will go up and down. The nicest views are ofcourse from the hiking paths and along the way you can... More

I enjoy hiking there. It's very close to Fiskebrygga, and it won't take you long time to hike around the whole Odderøya. You'll see some great views for sure!

Short walk from the city senter, and close to Fiskebrygga. Beautiful nature, and historical plases. There is a place called Vaffelbua, which sells norwegian style waffles on sundays
