A very interesting attraction, full of history and well worth the visit. Be prepared for a lot of walking and take a bottle of water if visiting in the sun.

I went to Ruter office in Oslo central station to take advice on the ticket required for my itinerary, as Oslo public transport zones are quite confusing. My plan was to use public transport throughout the day, take ferry from Aker Brygge to Oscarsborg, then...More

Highly recommend visiting this island in the summer months. Not just due to the importance it has played during the world war II, but because it just a nice little oasis in the Oslofjord and the ferry trip is very pleasant too, you see a...More

Entrance into the Fortress is free and it takes about 1-2 hours to have a slow wander around it and take in the sights and history. There is also an exhibition inside with further information about the Norwegian heritage.

Boats leae from Dröbak every hour and are 5-10 €. The surroundings of the 2 islands is beautiful with trails of a few km. The fortress was in use until 2002 so it is very well kept. Totally worth a visit.

if you are in Oslo, you need to stop by this place. I stopped here back in Feburay and I was so glad I spent the time

Was taken here (by boat - it's an island!) and had a great time wandering and exploring. Huge WW2 significance - the guns are impressive Had great pizza at the harbour restaurant Well worth a visit

Right outside the small and cosy city of Drøbak, this old fortress is something to visit. War-history(WW2), often concerts and you can wine&dine too!
