The Cathedral is in my opinion nothing out of the ordinary. There's a couple of nice alters and organs, but otherwise lutheran modest. The frescoes are interesting. The crypt was closed when we were there, but at the back we found a very nice courtyard...More

The Oslo Cathedral is worth seeing. Beautiful woodwork, murals, etc. The organ is magnificent and we were bummed we couldn't hear it. Peaceful place to rest your soul for a moment.

The outside is quite plain and there has obviously been a lot of different changes but the inside is lovely. The painted ceiling is bright and colourful, like most Norwegian churches the furnishings are fairly understated but I think this adds to the atmosphere. It's...More

Located in the heart of town with many nice shops nearby. On Fridays, when we visited, the church is open all night. It's a beautiful structure with a very comforting and spiritual environment.

A very nice and beautiful Cathedral. It is well worth a visit to The Oslo Cathedral. Do take your time and enjoy.

Right in the centre near all the shops. Doesn't look much from the outside, but recommend going in as stunning. We nearly missed it as on our way back to our hotel and so pleased we went inside.

Outside the building looks like a typical, old church. Obviously it's had some work done on the inside though! Very modern interpretation of what a cathedral should be

We always visit churches and cathedrals when we are in European cities and this was no exception. One block away from the pedestrian street, easy to find. The exterior did not look very attractive but you must go inside and admire the environment. A very...More

By European standards this is not the epitome of cathedrals, but is is well worth the stop. The ornate ceiling is the gem. Check out the corner stone as you enter on the right of the door (showing the tug between good and evil). It...More

I was in Oslo in April, the weather was nice, about 14-16 degrees C, you need something warm to sit outside if you want to enjoy your meal outside, that is very nice. It may rain also at that time.
