Every time I've been, this museum has impressed me with it's beautiful and moving displays about controversial topics. The first time it, it was discussing the experience of soldiers becoming targets in war and the second time it was paying tribute to Carl von Ossietzky, a German who fought against Nazi control. The content is probably too deep for children... More

Definitely worth a visit. Interesting, inspiring and very moving. The room of Nobel prize winners is spectacular and gives you a new appreciation of what the award means.

In these troublesome times of wars, aggressions and conflicts between powerful nations, the role of the Nobel Peace Center (Norwegian: Nobels Fredssenter) in Oslo, Norway, as the exhibition venue for both the Nobel Peace Prize and the ideals it represents, has perhaps never before been so important. Culture and politics merge here to promote involvement, debate and reflection around wars,... More

Educational, sad, inspiring, eye opening... a must see! Being Irish I loved discovering about Irish winners... disappointed other Nobel Prizes weren't included eg literature. Seeing the Syrian exhibition is heartbreaking.

Very thought provoking and informative exhibition. This is one of the most emotionally moving museums I've visited. Please go visit this if you're in Oslo!

Of all the displays, the one of previous winners was the highlight for me. It is beautifully arranged, inspiring and humbling. We spent a long time there learning and at certain points, an audio of a previous winner is played which packed an added punch. Maybe that could be more frequently done as with the current timing, you would only... More

Great exhibitions, both permanent and temporary! Small but very interesting museum, one of the best in Oslo, specially if you are fond of the theme. Exhibition on refugees is dramatic and quite touching - makes us easily cry with all the videos and children testimonies. A must see in Oslo!

If you didn't know anything about the Nobel Peace Price and its history, this exhibition won't leave you any the wiser! The actual display relating to Alfred Nobel can only, as the sign says, be accessed by one person turning the pages of a virtual book! The temporary refugee exhibition worth seeing though.

Thank you for your honest feedback, we appreciate it. We're currently working on changing the permanent Exhibitions, and hopefully it'll address some of the issues you mentioned. When it comes to the book about Alfred Nobel, we experience small groups use it together. We're sorry if this installation didn't meet your expectations. Best, Adeline More

I had my doubts about this place before going in. It is a small museum but we, including my teenage daughters who are too cool for any room, found it to be well worth the price of admission. It is thought provoking and laid out in a very artistic non-boring fashion. It is easily accessible right by City Hall.
