Beautiful architecture

In the middle of the city is this amazing big building. Very statuesque on a big square surrounded by restaurants, art and hotels. I love this kind of architecture.

The building does not stand out although right in the middle of the city centre. Just walk by and have a look.

I loved the view of the city from the front of this building. I also loved watching the guards in front of the building

Not much in Oslo won't cost you an arm and a leg. Not so with Stortinget, which offers wonderful hour-long tours of the parliament building with excellent guides. Check the website for dates and times (stortinget.no) and just turn up at the back street entrance in good time. They are popular and fill up quickly, and there's a maximum of... More

Me and my family (incl kids age 9 and 12) had talked about visiting the parliament for some time, this time we went to Oslo we all the sudden bumped into the area (Akersgata) at the right time. Got in line and started the counting, afraid we wouldn`t be one of the max 30 persons. Waited for the security staff... More

With location in the main street in town, halfway from The Castle to The central station you can't miss the parlament building on the right hand side. In front you find a small green park where you can rest for a while.

We passed by this important building unknowingly. It is hard to recognize the parliment of any country without any of its hustle and the security cover. This is one amongst them

The walk outside the parliament in Oslo was very nice. A lot green and nice people. Off course they did not allow us to go in but still recommend anyone in Oslo to see.
