There is a shortage of luggage space because there are a lot of tourists moving between the two cities. Comfortable spacious seats. I didn’t use the snack bar but the food smelt good. Our ticket collector / guard was very officious to two mature ladies...More

We took the railway from Oslo to Myrdal, during winter. Although everything was snowed in, it was breathtakingly beautiful. The train itself is very comfortable, offers a buffet car, there are many stops along the way, nothing long enough to get out. Runs well to...More

The Bergen end of the journey is without doubt the more scenic. If I were you I’d prioritise your travel to include the whole route. It is possible to break the journey and travel over a couple of days.
