Wonderful outdoors area around Oslo, good for skiing, hiking, biking, whatever. Great accessibility with public transport, lots of cozy cabins serving lunch and coffee. There are plenty of classic trails where you can take public transport to one side and hike/ski to another access point....More

It is a good place for cross-country skiing, sledge and walk during winter, just a magnificent and huge forest. It is a great way to have fun or relax.

So many stunning views. You can always find a suitable track - from 1-2 hours walk until several days. Easy to access with public transport. Absolutely favourite recreation ground!

Easiest way is to take metro from Oslo S to either Sognsvann or Frognerseteren and from these final stations you can easily take a walk to the marka.

You can normally go skiing in Nordmarka from december until the end of mars. This season it has been little snow, but it has still been possible to go good skiing in the northern and higher part most of the season. In the... More
Hi, is it possible to hire cross-country skiing equipment once we get there? Otherwise, it is better for us to rent it somewhere in town and bring it there? Thank you!
