We saw the lights beginning of Feb 2020, and due to very bad weather conditions around Tromso, we ended up crossing the Finnish border. Bart was a great guide and did his best to make the tour unforgettable. The spot he picked was fantastic (frozen lake!) and we were lucky enough to see a mesmerising Aurora display that night. We also had some delicious soup and hot chocolate by the camp fire to warm up. Couldn't be happier!

WOW 881sylwias! This sounds like an incredible experience! We are committed to doing our best, every night of the season. As you know, some nights we must travel a few hours inland, up the plateau, to find clear skies and other evenings the best spot for reduced cloud coverage is closer, perhaps on the coastline. We are delight to hear feedback and happy you enjoyed your cosy camp of a frozen lake in Finland.

This tour we took 6 hours after doing the Northern Lights in Tromsø. My two adult children and I had a great time, and saw a lot of amazing landscapes. The guide was helpful, and also took pictures of us as a group and also sent us some pictures of the trip.

We did a mid January 2020 Northern Lights trip. VIrgil and the driver were good at finding spots. Virgil gave a lot of good information and tips on how to photograph the lights. He took some great shots. Would highly recommend doing the northern lights. Will go back when the lights are at their peak in a few years and redo.

We did this trip on 29th February 2020 and I cant thank Wandering Owl, and in particular our guide Max enough. Highly recommended! We saw three separate shows of the Aurora and that is partially luck- BUT without Max's knowledge of the best places to go, the changing weather conditions, use of the relevant apps and contact with the other tour guides for real time updates at different locations- I know we wouldn't have seen such amazing displays. His own enthusiasm was infectious.. he went above and beyond what could be expected from a guide, and as we were in a small minibus- it was easy to change direction if the weather changed quickly ( which it does).. he did everything he could to make sure it was a great experience, and then some! They arranged all out gear beforehand (snow suit and shoes, head torch, tripod if needed..) and made it really easy to figure out the right size etc, sent info on the best clothes to wear etc.. and on the tour they provided really delicious soup ( I had the Lentil and it was yummy) and hot choc and biscuits.. all around a campfire in the snow. We chose this company because of their great reviews.. and I can tell you- they deserve all the excellent ratings. Sadly- we are all in the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic now- so I don't think they're will be many booking- and its the end of the season anyway, but if you're thinking or dreaming of doing this, while you're stuck at home-make that plan for the future and go with Wandering Owl. This is only my third ever review on TripAdvisor- but it was so good I had to write a review. Thanks Max. You made it an unforgettable experience. Catherine Ireland
