Lovely place

Too bad the weather wasn't working for us. It was snowing heavily and the clouds cover the peaks. Otherwise, I'm sure it affords breathtaking views.

Grøtfjord is one of the most beautiful places I've visited outside Tromsø. A good place to camp and enjoy it's white sandy beaches. I was there last year in July. I will definitely og back.

What a beautiful place... would love to see the northern lights here. It really feels like you're on the edge of Northern Europe.

I visited Grotfjord as part of my tour around Tromso fjords with Arctic Explorers. It is indeed a stunning place and the beach is simply beautiful. If you are in the area, it would be worth while to see this fjord and make sure you have your camera with you.

Nice beach and beautiful view to the mountains. Road to Grotfjord is very narrow but very good to drive. Beware of oncoming traffic.

Must visit if you are anywhere close to Tromso. Just 45 minutes drive from city centre and you are in one of the most beautiful terrains in the world - with mountains and blue/ green waters merging. The day we went it was a very windy day but that possibly also added to the charm of the place. The beach... More

I'd heard this place was a good location for capturing the northern lights and I wasn't disappointed. If you have a car you can get here within about 45 mins from Tromso. Worth a visit both day and night.

Really beautiful fjord. We went to see it a few times by car and we also saw reindeers on that fjord, if I am not mistaken.
