Even though in 7 days we had 2 different tours booked daily, this was the best. Very good organization, very kind staff and very good guides. Many thanks to Tom, who is an experienced guide, for his special attention and kindness which were so important to us, as beginners. I booked through getyourguide, with Camp Troll AS, as a supplier. I'll recommend this tour to everyone. Thank you!

The activity was booked with " Lyngen Adventure" - Tromso. So, we drove up to the city centre and took the tour company pick up from there. The adventure charges - 1600 NOK per person ( 11800INR), but am sure all of you will agree that its worth it after seeing the pics.

The adventure sport is a 2hr journey from Tromso City Center. We were in a van that had 6 people and as expected, the onward drive was beautiful with white landscapes. We did take a small ferry form Breivikeiet. The plan was to enjoy the view from outside the ferry, but due to the heavy winds, we stayed inside. And the temperature is -16 today. We continued the drive to Lyngseidet after the ferry.

Lyngseidet is a small town, we first stopped at the “Magic Mountain Lodge” at the Lyngen Adventure Office. At the lodge, we picked our accessories needed for the climb and freshened up. The drive to the forest began thereafter for about 15 - 20 mins. The offroad drive was pretty challenging with thick layers of snow and no people around. After parking the van in a snow-covered open area, we began our walk through the forest. A silent work amidst animal sounds at distances and snow for 20 to 30 minutes brought us to the frozen flowing beauty. Wow ! Nature is bliss. It's an amazing view. The frozen waterfall is much taller than expected where the water is completely frozen to ice. There are about 2 or 3 levels, when we climbed the first level, we were already at 100 feet. It felt so amazing to see a frozen waterfall. A real wonder of nature. Near the waterfall, A small tent made of reindeer skin was set up by the tour company wherein we had a campfire and we can survive from the killing cold. After a few hours of rest and meanwhile, one of our guides hike up to the top of the waterfall (through another way) and fixed our safety cables from the top. And yes, the best was yet to come.

We were given some detailed instructions as to how to use the ice axe and crampons(a sharp metal plate fixed to the climbing shoes). Good stamina and energy are required to do this activity - not a cakewalk. The climbing technique is, to get the grip against the ice, we need to hit the crampons hard onto the ice. Once the position is set, our body weight will be on our feet fingers. The next step would be to hit the axe up and pulling your body along for the second step. It took a bit of a struggle to adapt to the right way of moving and climbing up when we climbed the first level, we were already at 100 feet. It felt so amazing to see a frozen waterfall. The snow forests were silent and us walking made so much noise. It became completely dark as we reached our van , the ferry was also closed. We took an alternative route by road to Tromso city - a longer drive but we were content cause we saw the amazing Northern lights yet another time.

Choose this company!! They’re fairly new and we didn’t know who to do snowmobiling with however I’m glad we chose them. The guides are so knowledgable about everything and so professional. The whole experience was very friendly and chilled. All warm clothing is provided as well as lovely soup after you finish. We spent around an hour and a half on the snowmobiles with hot chocolate at a little cabin half way. The scenery is magical like something out of Narnia. The ferry was on time and so was the car picking us up. Such a fun way to see the alps. Highly recommend this tour, couldn’t fault it.

So glad we did this, my fiancé and I had the absolute best day!

The guides were so lovely and knowledgeable and took great care of us. It was such a beautiful hike to the icefall and then the climb and view from the top was breathtaking. After all that hard work, we cosied up by the fire and enjoyed delicious tea, soup and Lefse (Norwegian flatbread)

Loved every minute and could not recommend it enough. Thanks for the beautiful day!

If you’re looking to enjoy great scenery, friendly staff and a good time whilst on a snowmobile - book this tour! Camp Troll is incredibly clean and Johan / John were the best guides, informative, friendly and knowledgable. We spent around 90 mins/2 hours on the snowmobile which was plenty. They provide all the gear you need - thermal suits, boots etc.

Amazing view, adventurous hike, challenging ice chilling, authentic Sami base camp with fire, amazing soup and tea. It’s so worth it! Guides were very friendly as well as all the participants. Climb was cold and challenging but it’s good that there is the base camp. Loved the experience!!!

We booked this through Lyngn Adventures and the booking to execution was seamless! Friendly helpful staff, pick ups and drop off punctual and very friendly staff at the Camp too. Suits and all necessary clothing provided ! We spent the day at the foothils of the Lyngn alps which are aweinspiring, althought we were out in blizzard conditions. Clear instructions were given and regular stops taken for pictures! The hot chocolate stop in one of thier teepee's was a god send in the cold! The soup and bread at the end was hot and welcoming but coud have been a bit more interestin ! I Think it was just a potatoe soup with vegetable stock.
Couple of things that bothered me was that one of the tour guides was only 16yrs of age. also, usually these tours have a guide with a go-pro or camera taking pictures of the group and individuals etc which are then sent on by the company. The boys did not have any means of doing this.
All in all it is a must do to see the spectacular scenary and have the experience of the cold artic harsh weather !

We've done a daytour with the snow mobiles with one 7 y/o child. Since the service is open for such young children you shouldn't exoect a speed race - and if you do, you'll be dissapointet.
However if you just make a new experience and discover amazing and almost untouched landscapes, you're 100% right here.
Overall we've had very nice staff and - as the title says - breathtaking views!

We book this activity at the Lyngen Adventure office and from the very beginning the staff received us very well with patient to explain and make sure we will have a stunning and amazing experience. And yes it was and amazing experience. The driver who took us to the site for us to drive the snowmobile she is like a Swiss clock always on time and she is lovely and very friendly she even tried to drive us for some roads in order to see Elk even that was not included on tour. On site to ride the Snowmobile we met the team who will help us and instruct us. We met a English gentleman who know everything you can ask including Northern lights in fact he is like a live Encyclopedia, he teach us everything we need to have an enjoyable and safe experience, we also met a Norwegian gentleman which is very kind and lovely always ready to explain and also to make sure we are doing things right it is his responsibility to make sure we can go for the ride he check the path and how danger could be and after i check the track the decision is made, but normal is always good in fact we got a lovely and sunny day it was really good. I highly recommend this experience and with this agency and you will be sure 100% you succeed. They take you for a stunning scenery they gave you time for photography and also half way a nice hot chocolate.I hope i will see this people again.
