This museum was extremely interesting in understanding that this part of Norway is more than just the gateway to the Arctic Circle. Now I know who Ole Tobias Olsens was and how he shaped this area.

Agree with another reviewer - very little to see, for NOK 30.-/person. Yes, I agree to "dusty" (meaning old fashioned and uninspiring) exhibition about the old times. Had hoped a lot for this part. Especially since the trading was so intence with the new settlers...More

Went there with the family, met by friendly, helpful staff (who can give great recommendations about what to do in the area.) The exhibition felt a bit dusty. They do have art exhibitions once in a while.
