We would be interested in visiting the arctic circle, traveling to Bodo by train and then maybe back south by ferry. Is this possible in a week?

This was our first stop as we had limited time in Bodo. Since the maelstrom at Salstraumen is Bodo's major attraction you would think they would have information on it and how to get there at the ready. We did get information from them but...More

Good location and nice building for Tourist Information. Personnel knows the "basics" of the city (same that you can read from the brochures), but could not tell/recommend anything "out of the books".

We needed something to do for a half day and hoped to find a short hike. The office told us about the Kaiservarden. Took the bus to the base and walked up. Great walk. Not too challenging. Great view of Bodo and the Lototen as...More

It is about 3 min. walk from Lovod Kafeteria. We always missed it as the sign wasn't that clear. A good size information place but not much to offer, well, giving Bodo is not a big city, I guess the information is sufficient. This is...More

Our cruise ship is in Bodo from 7:30am and leaves at 2pm. We were wondering if there is any way to do the walk up Keiservarden with a local tour company in that time frame on June 26and what would be the cost in US dollars? Thanks.
