The main church in Bragernes dates from 1871. Bragernes Church was erected in neo-Gothic style and located in the heights towards the hill. Its well-known altarpiece with the Resurrection by Adolph Tidemand has been copied in many other churches within Norway. The beautiful carillon has 35 bells.

the church itself is not so very special- or maybe I am a bit spoiled with other european churches? My advice: Go there for the view from the stairs - and visit the wooden Strømsø church, which I think is much more special and interesting!
