This is near the Imperial Palace and is cheap to go too. It's really warm inside and very small but it's lovely to see the beautiful butterflies.

Visit on a sunny day and you will be surrounded by magic! The glass house is small but very prettily designed. 4 stars because the 6.50 euro entrance fee is somewhat high for a 30 minute attraction.

The set up is great. Simple and cheap to enter. However once inside there wasn't many butterfly's to see. May be the bad weather outside kept them all in hiding. Students get discount and also your Vienna card.

Even we liked the idea of seeing a place with butterflies, we were little disappointed - most likely because of our overestimated expectations. The place is quite small and with humidity >80% it was uncomfortable for us to stay there longer than 15 minutes due to perspiration. Entry fee: 6.5 Eur Adult, child under 3 years for free

This glass house is magic. Whether it is cold or warm outside, you enter and it is warm and humid. You are surrounded by hundreds of butterflies and luxurious plant life. It is enchanting for young and old children. The adjoining café restaurant is also good quality; try the mint cocktail.

it is worth a visit. Butterflies fly around you which is amazing. They have the most beautiful colours. It is to spend less than an hour I would say. Ticket price for adult 6.50

A nice alternative when you're tired of sightseeing or need a break from palaces and churches. Hot and humid with beautiful plants and butterflies. Walkways get a bit crowded over the weekend or holidays. Not very big, so only takes about 30-60 minutes out of your day, but still well worth the effort for any nature lovers.

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
