Located at Karlsplatz are two iconic Art Nouveau structures designed by architect Otto Wagner. Once used for the Stadtbahn, these beautiful buildings are worth your attention while visiting Vienna. One building is now used by the Vienna museum as an exposition center, the other houses a cafe. Bring your camera for a wonderful photo opp.

Very beautiful building, but the "exposition" inside is not worth the 5 euros, which would be better spent to visit the Secession Building or the Kirche am Steinhof.

This is a lovely little interesting site housed in a splendid old station. The museum detail's the history of this fantastic art nouveau building and of similar building's and also give's you an insight into the great man himself. There is another station building opposite that was once a café ( could still be ) and even if your not... More

I've been a fan of Art Nouveau for years, and was quite pleased to come across so much of it in Vienna. The architect Otto Wagner had a lot to do with that, and there are many of his buildings scattered through the city. The Pavilions at Karlsplatz are some of the prettiest I was able to see. The buildings... More

Worth stopping by on your way between the museums and other attractions. This short visit will give you a great picture about Otto Wagner and his achievements. Nice construction itself this former station and you will find descriptions about other buildings, as well, inside. There is also a shop selling interesting products. Free entrance every first Sunday of the month... More

For fans of Art nouveau architecture this is a little gem. The museum inside tells you more about Otto Wagner and the Pavillion itself is lovely to look at.

Very interesting architecture. Like most of Vienna there are so many buildings to admire and this station building is a great example designed by Otto Wagner. Inside is a small exhibit showing his vision.

Worth going to see this. A station with character and cafe. Gives an idea of the style with which the 19 Century under took to build. A little suprise
