The church is extremely beautiful from the inside. The baroque style is completely different from the gothic style of st. stephens. Many people prefer the calmness of this church to the more popular st. stephens church. Would recommend going here.

Built in 17th century just in 4 years and converted in 1703 into Barock style. From outside it looks like almost another building, towers reveal it to be a church. You open the door and amount of decorations is astonishing. We were privileged, the sacristy was open for visits. It makes sense to visit several churches in Vienna to experience... More

Visiting this church is a MUST. The baroc style is a good contrast to the gothic style of St. Stephans. It is airy and light and for a lot of people the most beautiful church in Vienna.

Close to the St Stephan's cathedral (5 minutes walk), you must take time to go see this church. I was there back in 2005 and I remembered how nice this church was. I was lucky because I went early on a Sunday morning and a choir/orchestra was practicing. It was priceless. You must see.

This is undoubtedly one of the outstanding churches in Vienna. It is built near the "Old University", as I understand in connection with the fact that the theology teaching in University was completely entrusted to the Jesuits since 1623. Just in 1623 also the construction of this church begins. It is simple (even "non-baroque") in its front, gorgeous in an... More

We spent 30 minutes staring around in awe of the interior of this building. From the outside it is a bit unassuming but once inside it takes your breath away. The gold and marble combination is really lovely. The marble columns looked like they belonged in Gaudi's Sagrada Famila in Barcelona. The church was so quiet that you could barely... More

This church is lovely on the outside but what it hides on the inside cannot be predicted until you enter. My mind was blown by its beauty. Marble pillars and frescos abound. I have never seen spiral pillars. And not nearly as busy as St. Stephens which made it even more special.

Beautiful church, when we visited a choir and orchestra were practicing and it was fantastic. So peaceful and but also so thunderous music. The inside has some very impressive paintings and architecture, well worth a visit.

It is a beautiful church with very rich interior in the center. Free entrance. I highly recommend to visit it.
