Not exceptionally good but nice and close the zoo. There was an art installation going on, wish I could stayed longer. But it's still just a botanical garden, what do you want.

I visited in late October and was dazzled by the gorgeous colors. This place oozed tranquility. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and stayed most of the afternoon. The pathways are laid out to reveal surprising vistas, there are 'hidden' gems to be discovered. Most of the sensitive plants were gone now, but the fall display was nevertheless awesome, so I... We visited in September and found the gardens a bit disappointing as lots of the plants were past their best this late in the season, so there was not much colour mainly green. It covers quite a small area so not a massive range of types of plants to see. However it is a nice green area to stroll in,... More

Lovely garden to walk through with plenty of shade on a hot day. Interesting and peaceful with some nice plantings.

This time we planed to stay in green area in Vienna. Our hotel was immediately near the Botanical Garden, so every day, this was our passage to city or to Belvedere. If you are interested in plants and trees, you may spend around an hour. Or if you like to run, you can do it in a quiet place. You... More

A nice botanical garden, not as spectacular as those in Singapore, Montreal or Kirstenbosch garden near Cape Town, but a quiet and well appointed garden close to Belvedere Palace. Access is free, and you can visit different sections of the garden with different plants and trees. Strolling through the garden is a nice change after visiting Vienna palaces and museums.....

It is a bit different compared to the rest of the city. The garden is divided in sections and it is quite large. If you are interested in plants and trees, you may spend around and hour. It is for free and it is closed at 6 pm.

We’ve accidentaly stumbled upon this place and were pleasantly suprised. It’s a great point for all plant-lovers and also a place to sit and relax for a while.

Each time I visit Vienna I spend a couple of hours walking around. There is an other garden next to it (entry fee is 4 eur) which is small, but packed with flowers. If you like flowers, or taking pictures about flowers, you must jump in

We visited this garden on a cloudy day but that didn't detract from it's loveliness. It was free for us to get in (this may have been because it was a Sunday?) and we spent about 45 minutes slowly wandering around and taking in the calm atmosphere.
