This church is in the Freyung Square and is not elaborate externally and more subdued than most others internally but still worth a visit if in the area.

This church is less busy than others in the 1 Bezirk. There are fewer tourists coming here (at least in my experience), so if you would like to visit a quiet church with beautiful paintings and altars, this is a place for you.

We stopped off to visit this lovely church. It is called the Scottish church , it was founded by the Hiberno-Scottish Benedictine monks in the 12th century.
