    Special Evening in Vienna
We attended the most amazing Mozart and Strauss concert in the White and Gold Room of the Schoenbrunn Palace. The ensemble consisted of a piano, (3) violins, cello and clarinet. The evening was a total delight, with absolutely incredible music. Including two Opera singers who had the room mesmerized. This evening was the highlight of our trip to Vienna.
THANK YOU so much, we are very pleased to hear that our concert was the highlight of your trip to Vienna! We hope to see you again soon, greetings from the Orangery Schönbrunn!

    Superb intimate concert
We booked an evening tour of the palace, followed by a concert in the palace at 8.30pm. What a treat. The Mozart / Strauss compilation was ideal, and the orchestra / singers were just magnificent. A spectacular way to end off a really great day in Vienna. No wonder the concerts get booked up well in advance as there are not that many seats available per concert. If you get the chance - do it. We are not classical music buffs, but we loved it.
Big thank you for this amazing feedback & recommendation! Greetings from Schönbrunn!

Amazing concert but wouldn't buy the tour package
The concert itself was amazing. The orchestra and singers are really talented, kind, and funny. The Orangerie is a really beautiful place. However, I would not recommend the tour + concert package. The price is almost the same as buying individual tickets, and you can not go at your own pace as it is more like a group visit. Besides, it is a 30-minute simplified visit, so you will not see everything Schoenbrunn has to offer. Another relevant information, the place is quite big, so I would guess that the back sectors do not have the same experience. Sector A must be the most cost-effective.
Dear Larissa, Thanks for giving us feedback to improve the qualityof our services and products! The palace tour doesn't include all of the rooms, since the time is limited, however, it is an exclusive tour after the official opening hours of the palace, thats what makes it a very unique experience! Thank you & Greetings from the Orangery!

We attend the castle for our tour with the e tickets to be told that we had to go to the collection point which was about a 10 min walk to pick up our tickets. We collected our tickets for the dinner and concert but were told that we had to go to another location to get our tickets for the tour. The information that was provided said we can do the tour anytime during the day. When we were given the tickets to complete the tour we were told that we would have to wait until 4:20 pm. This meant we would have to wait 3.5 hours. We did not do the tour as we were not going to wait that long or have to come back as we had our day planned out.
The dinner was lovely
The concert - the musicians and singers were good but the set up was not. There are no allocated seats as you pick when you purchase the seats online just sections. The stage and seating are basically at the same level so you are looking at the back of a persons head. There is no acoustics in the room so the music sounds like you are in another room.
This really was not worth the amount of money we spent for 3 people.
Very disappointing experience

Dear 25annal , we are deaply sorry you did not like our package and scipped the tour. Can you please tell me the date via Mail to nina.bergmann@imagevienna.com, so we can get in touch with our partners at the palace to talk about the reason they did not let you in earlier. We are happy you liked the dinner. Thank you for your help and kind regards,

The playing was excellent but many in the audience were using their phones, taking shots during the performances. I reported this to a staff member who made a short announcement during the first break but the audience continued to use their phones. It was extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend attendance to anyone. What a disappointment. We travelled from Ireland at considerable expense and this was the major low moment of our five days.

Dear Billy, We are really sorry to hear that the experience was disappointing for you. As you probably know, the use of cellphones is not allowed during the performance, and the audience is not allowed to take photos or make videos. Usually our guests comply with this, but there are always people who do not follow the instructions. Unfortunately, it is very difficult for our staff to control every single visitor, but we will take your comments into consideration and try to make our guests more considerate of each other in the future. Greetings from Vienna, The Schönbrunn Palace Concerts team.

The quality of the performanance was excellent. We enjoyed the fun element created between the musicians of the ensemble. We were disappointed wuth the simplicity of the room compared to the palace, although the lighting was impressive and worked well to compensate this. Disappointed with the noise of the shop packing away during the concert! Surely this could have been avoided.

We only did the concert. Everything is simpler than it seems: the orangery is 100 meters opposite the metro. The withdrawal of reserved tickets is at a desk just at the entrance. Everyone is very friendly. The room is not very big and very comfortable: two chairs, a coffee table, two chairs. The orchestra does the job, singer and completely professional singer, very pleasant evening.

We arrived a bit late to do the palace tour as the tours stop at 5:30 (yet dinner is at 6:30?), but that was fine because the ticket office was happy to allow the voucher over to the next or another day for the tour. We did the tour the next morning and it was amazing. The orchestra was absolutely fantastic. Intermission on the palace grounds with a drink was a delight and the music, accompanied by some light opera and ballet was nothing short of a delight.

The rub of this tour was the dinner. When booking, you are told that you will eat at Ehrenhof adjacent to the palace. The restaurant is pretty well enough rated, and photos of the cuisine look quite divine. Within a few days of booking, however, I was notified our dining experience would be at the Courtyard Marriott, a block away from the palace. This is forewarned in the booking process, and on first blush, I figured it would be fine. Hotels often have pretty decent restaurants, right? WRONG. The "restaurant" (judicious use of quotes here), was little more than a hotel lobby breakfast bar that also happens to serve food. The aesthetic scene of the "restaurant" was reminiscent of a motel 6. For any U.S. residents or travelers, that's code for tacky decor and an overall unappealing setting that made me forget I was in the beautiful city of Vienna about to listen to an orchestra. The food.... Dear lord, the food was absolute garbage. The appetizer of a beef broth with what I assume was supposed to resemble Matzo in beef broth was tasteless, but for the salty overtone, small portioned, and quite simply, boring. Well, that's fine, right? The main course of bee will surely be better!? No. The beef was absoilutely terrible. It was overcooked and chewy - flavorless in it's own right. The gravy was bland and did little to flavor or tenderize the disgusting beef. The potato based side lacked ingenuity and was slightly burnt. I ate about four bits and left the rest to the dumpster gods where it belonged. Desert.... A strudel. You can't mess that up, surely? Well, they did. Dry, lacking in sweetness, and just a sad example of a dish Vienna is famous and proud of.

Quite frankly, the dinner was trash, and as previously noted, made me forget the beautiful place I was in and left me regretting life choices not just skipping the dinner and doing the tour and concert by having booked them individually on my own. It really just felt like the planners had too many guests for the restaurant Ehrenhof, and so stuffed the spillovers into the shanty that was the Courtyard Marriott. Also, given that impression, the service was slow, half the room (clearly on the same tour) was finishing desert by the time we got our entree. Had we not passed on but a few bites of the depressing desert, we'd have been late to the concert.

Trip Advisor, if you can't fit all of your guests - or for whatever reason get them - into Ehrenhof, just suggest they cancel the tour. Money is better spent, cuisine is better had, eating anywhere other than dumpster fire that is the Courtyard Marriott. I feel terrible for the polite staff who had to serve such a travesty (at least the beer and service people themselves were fine); however, I take no shame in calling out a horrible experience when I have one, and that was NOT what I was expecting for my first night in the elegance that Vienna otherwise has to offer. Fortunately, I was able to eat some street food late into the evening that proved the city has fine cuisine to offer it's travelers and residents....

A unique concert with exceptional music . We enjoyed the evening but found it difficult to locate from the metro . It was well worth the visit out to Schonnbrun on a cold evening .

The orangerie to collect the tickets was very easy to locate and the woman who gave us our tickets was very helpful and informative about where and when events where taking place.

The palace itself is a lovely building, I went when the Christmas markets were around and it made it an enjoyable experience. We arrived a little too early as the palace tour only lasts 45mins-1 hour so we had time to spare before dinner so had a wander around. There isn’t much to do but we found a cafe.

Dinner was served promptly and our waiter was lovely. The meal itself was decent but nothing extraordinary, we had reserved seats and a set menu.

The concert itself- so before you can enter you HAVE to check in bags and coats (which in winter is just a necessity) which costs €1 per person. Which doesn’t sound a lot but when you’ve already paid €99 for the tickets themselves (and they’re the cheapest) seems extortionate! We were seated fairly fast but everyone was clumped together and all on one level so we couldn’t see anything that was happening for the first half. Before the interval there was audible movement and banging coming from the bar behind us. Which spoilt the enjoyment of the music. This also happened after the interval. I understand the bar and orchestra were in the same rook but I found it very disrespectful. So much so that you could hear a spoon be dropped in a cup!! This to me is not acceptable when you’re there to listen to pieces of music.

We actually moved towards the back of the hall where there were less people so we could see the ‘acts’ but they seemed more like resort entertainment than true performers.

All in all, I would not recommend this trip. And when I go back to Vienna (which is an amazing city) I would pay for a real concert in one of the halls designed and built for the acoustics of a small orchestra!

The presentation was magnificent. The music and arias were splendid and of great variety.

The accommodation was disappointing. The floor of the hall is flat. The seating is segregated into three classes. Those at the back see in section C very little. The chairs are flimsy and uncomfortable.

We took the dining option and were thoroughly disappointed. Firstly the din8ng is a long walk from the venue. Secondly The choice of food was limited. God help you if you were gluten intolerant or avoiding carbohydrates. Service was rushed. Waiters were trying to upsell you with drinks. Eat elsewhere.

We found picking up the tickets very inefficient and wasted about an hour before we could start the grand tour of the palace. We were instructed to go to the orangerie which we did but the entrance to the Vienna city tour office is outside the palace grounds on the main road. We then had to swap the tickets from the office with tickets used by the palace which meant another queue! Could this process not be simplified? The grand tour of the palace was very interesting and even though it was an audio guide it was still worth doing. The dinner was ok. The concert was excellent and very enjoyable. They had a brillint orchestra, singers and dancers. Allowing for the shaky start the evening was good!
