Nice church inside, usual type of decor you would expect, a service was in progress when we visited, so were respectful, had a little look around then left, always worth looking in.

Beautiful building. Tucked away in between buildings. I stumbled across it just roaming through the streets of Vienna.

This looked like an average church on the outside to me when my partner and I walked past. However it is the most amazing church I've seen on the inside. It is really fancy and ornate! It is definitely worth a visit!

Our hotel was right across the street from this hotel, and I needed to light a candle for a dear friend whose memorial service I was missing while traveling as a group leader for a large group of Americans. As soon as we were all checked in at the hotel, I went immediately into St. Peter's. The exterior, while lovely... More

This church is a "cannot miss" and is in the inner city. Very cool, very old church. Appeared to be a very popular church to see the inside of.

There was a service taking place when we visited so we couldn't go right in but standing in the doorway gave us a good overview of the stunning decor of this church. They have organ services there which I'm sure would be an amazing experience.

Decided to pop in this church and was glad I did. The artistry and architecture is sublime. Also seems like they have quite a few concerts here!

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
