Vienna is a beautiful and friendly city. The buildings in the city centre are beautiful and there is a wide range of restuarants and coffee houses to enjoy. Recommend the Schwarzn Kammel on Bognergrasse 5 which is a wine bar, restuarant and delicatessen.

The museums are handy in that they are all close together in one area. Paid a visit to the natural history museum and it costs 10euros to enter. Lots of stuffed animals that got a bit wearing after a while but lots to see

This is a kind of 'refurbished plaza', with various museums, eateries and so on, at the edge of an older neihghbourhood (Josephstadt) and close to Hofburg. People hang around, have brunch, kids play, all in a very cultural but relaxed atmosphere. Great to have coffee...More

12.7.17 Just a short walk from the RatHaus (City Hall) is another Christmas Market which is bit more upscale and sophisticated. Think WalMart versus Target with this square being Target. Nice Christmas market to try out for certain. the Doctor hit me with some LOVE...More

Not only good for its cultural offerings. The Museumsquartier is also a great place to hang out in Summer and to eat at restaurants or cafes.

People gather a lot around Museum Quartier. You can sit for hours and relax. There is also a shop to buy souvenirs or to enter a specific section of the museum with old crafts (by paying the ticket). There is also a bar and a...More

We’d heard this was a really fabulous place but really it just seemed to be drinks huts in the square! Can see this would be good for a group and in the summer but bit disappointed really.

Beautiful square with Christmas market. Great photo opportunity at night with the buildings illuminated.

I admit I am not really an arts connoisseur but I did like some of the Egon Schiele works. Apart from that, was very average.

Many. Museums to see around, close to the center, very helpful staff and if you get a pass for 1 to 3 days you can see most museums and places for Vienna for not paying more.

Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries,
arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde
shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with
cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make
for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and
art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at
Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a
perfect hangout on a warm summer evening.

Yes! Free and beautiful. A fun place for a picnic. It would make sense to google if there is a Vienna card or some card that lowers the price of admissions. Some cities have that. I'm jealous you're going there. My absolute... More
