This palace is another magnificent building in Vienna. On the outside I think it is the prettiest architecturally. This is the one with the priceless art, including the Klimt and the Lady in Gold. It is rare art you will want to see, but the highlight for me was touring this beautiful Palace. It is a good thing we were... More

Impressive collection of Austrian oils, including Klimt and Schiele. Other masters to including Van Gogh, Munch. Not supposed to take photos here but I saw lots of people getting photo (except The Kiss which is closely watched). Beautiful architecture in this former palace.

We love visiting historical palaces etc and if this was the first palace I ever visited I would have rated it higher as it is a beautiful place. The gardens are magnificent and you will need a little time and walking shoes to see it all.

Satisfied as we went mainly for the Klimpt paintings and they were beautiful. Other than that mainly the old masters which does not interest us much. Disappointing as photos are not allowed and some of the inside architecture was very nice. The gardens were ok but not overly impressive. It you are a photographer and want to photograph the exterior... More

The views are wonderful from the top floor. The palace offers a beautiful setting for all the paintings and especially the Klimt works including The Kiss. We visited this museum for free with the Vienna Pass.

We visited both the upper and lower Belvedere on our trip with a distinct preference for the upper which contained a wonderful collection of Klimt masterpieces including The Kiss and Judith as well as other Austrian works of art. The building and the grounds are a great place to while away half a day as there is also a lovely... More

It is mostly known as the place where many Gustav Klimt's artworks are being kept, with the famous "The Kiss", although there are many more outstanding works by many widely known artists. The building and the gardens are splendid and in my opinion Belvedere looks much better than Schönbrunn Palace. The price is more acceptable as well and it is... More

The gardens from the lower palace to the upper palace were beautiful. It was a shame that it was so cold on the day we visited. The museum itself wasn't extraordinary but I've always wanted to see "The Kiss." It was a rewarding experience even if the admission was a bit expensive.

The Belvedere is a historic building complex consisting of two Baroque palaces, an Orangery, and Palace Stables all set in a park landscape. There are formal gardens which were all built by designers that trained in Versailles. One of the palaces contains a selection of art work that was put there by one of the Hapsburg emperors so that ordinary... More
