A smaller venue which I like. Sit yourself at a table and get some drinks. We paid 16 Euro entry the night we went. Its very informal. Opened at 7pm and music started at 9 pm. To get to it the closest station is Schwedenplatz

Jazzland is a Viennese institution. It is a cool, crowded underground venue with brick walls (covered with the photos of the musicians who have performed there) and ceilings. Nice, homey food and good drinks. The music is the star. Randy Sandke was playing the night...More

Having googled jazz bars in the area, Jazzland appeared the most authentic and relaxed so we went on a Friday night. We were thrilled to realise we'd come on a boogie-woogie night with Dana Gillespie singing. The music was world-class... They aren't charging £18 entry...More

What an amazing night of traditional and modern jazz in a cozy underground tunnel. The staff were cheerful and great to chat with during the break. Snack plates and drinks at very reasonable prices. AND no cover charge.

There is a charge for tickets if that is what you mean, yes. You can eat if you want to - your decision. The food is simple but good!

No, he/she will be bored and if he/she doesn't fall asleep will disturb the other clients. I know that I would be annoyed as a visiting tourist who made an effort to get there.
