You can not book tickets in advance. You should take a look at timetable in advance at official opera site and go 30 minutes before. Very informative and beautiful place. Not as fascinating as Garnier opera in Paris but it worth to visit

We took the English tour in the Opera House of Vienna. The tour guide was very knowledgeable - giving us important information regarding the Opera House's history and current happenings. She also allowed us to ask questions whenever we deemed necessary. Thumbs up!
