Village is small but absolutely cute, unusual and memorable. Located in opposite street side from Hundertwasserhaus complex (Kegelgasse street). Funny colorful shopping shops will surprise you with their variety of very high-quality souvenirs, unusual bars and cafes. Go down the stairs and even visiting paid...More

The Hundertwasser village, created in 1991 by Hundertwasser himself is located directly across from the Hundertwasserhaus and also demonstrates his unique flair for interior design. It has a very similar feel to the Hungarian ruin bars where in the space has been used to its...More

If you have an hour to spare during your visit to Vienna, it is well worth giving the Hundertwasser house a visit. It’s about a 15 minute walk from Wien Mitte metro station and it may be dated but it’s colourful, quirky and different! I...More

I'm enchanted by his visionary expression he displays in his work. From the Public Toilets in Kaikohe New Zealand and his much lauded alternative New Zealand flag, to his village and apartment block in Vienna. From what I hear he also did major refuse recycling...More

This building was designed by a wacky viennese architect and artist. The design is wavy (along with the ground surrounding the building - try not to trip). The building is surrounded by a number of tourist trap stores. It is worth seeing for 5 Minutes.

We brought a 3 Day Pass for €17 each, from the train station, which allows one to ride all local buses/trams and the Metro, was a bargain, compared to the Rip Off prices of €150 for 3 days on the Hop on, Hop off Buses....More

It may have been very beautiful and special to look at and visit when it was first built but now this place is pretty much a disappointing hub of cheap souvenirs with overpriced coffee shops and restaurants. Quirky it may be, but unless you’re in...More

Do not miss the Hunderwasser Village and stunning cafe. This is a unique experience - a bit of a trek but well worth it. Colourful, imaginative and totally different. If you read up about Hundertwasser before you visit you will certainly get a better understanding....More
