Just a short distance away from Stadt Park is Beethoven park which is much smaller and not that well maintained and the statue of Beethoven sits in the center. Well worth a visit.

Saw it in the square. Great statue, but missing the flavor of the man that he was and the influence he had over music from the 18th century to the 21st.

The great German artist lived in Vienna for the most part of his life and died here in 1827. The bronze statue, designed by the sculptor Caspar Clemens von Zambush, was erected in 1880 at the Beethovenplatz, near the Konzerthaus.

There is music and imagination in every place around the statue. It's not like any statue you will see in any European City. There is something different about it. It is very near to Stadtpark so you can enjoy both beauties in the same time....More

Such an exceptional talent and artist, and one of the most valuable people needs much more than this lonely and forgotten square. It took me a lot to notice it. I don't understand why it is not in Burggarten or other place in the centre....More
