The place was fine and interesting, but not a lot of information was given in English. It didn't have something special, which I hadn't seen in other zoos. There are a lot of stairs, but the view from the very top of the building is...More

A very impressive museum with animals and fishes from the planet earth. There are fishes from the oceans that you can see as well as animals from other continents.

Good use of an old WWII relic, with the structural integrity to hold massive water tanks and contains some interesting history as a bonus. The views from the top are spectacular and 360 degree vantage points with clear photo opportunities.

My children love this place. It is interesting to see so many species of marine animals to one place. Best for us were turtle, hammer shark and bats

Super cool animals to see even for adults. Hint is to start from the top and ease your way down. 1-1.5 hours max for aquarium part.

This is an imaginative way to use an old fire control tower made of tons of concrete by forced labour to defend Vienna in WW2. It has an unusual mix of fish and even some tiny free range tamarins scattered on its several floors. At...More

Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping
heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The
weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium
Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six
remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with
a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna
and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the
area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with

No, there are no dogs allowed! They have free running monkeys and birds, that´s the reason why!
