In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

This place is a joke. Appalling organisation and service. We pre booked tickets to the evening concert at 65 Euro per person, unlike almost every other venue, there is no easy entry with a QR code but a long and inefficient line up at the booking office to get your ‘tickets’ which you’d already paid for. Then they can’t find your booking in the computer, but after some consternation give you your tickets. Then send you to another line for compulsory coat and bag check in (2 euro per piece). The lobby is full of people not knowing what to do, lining up in different queues, tempers getting frayed, tour groups arriving, delayed start whilst people trying to enter the hall. I can’t believe this is what they do every night. It is a Function Centre with poor organisation and a don’t care attitude. Just after your money. Completely overpriced and unsatisfactory. I would avoid this underwhelming experience at all costs.

Whatever you do. DO NOT book the dinner. Appalling food. Cold and totally inedible...we ate nothing and left to find a better option.

Walking through Stadtpark is something I always look forward to doing on any holiday to Vienna I take ,one of the standout features of this park is Kursalon.
Kursalon is a music hall building and was designed by architect Johann Garben and constructed between 1865-1867 in the beautiful Italian Renaissance style of architecture so pleasing on the eye ,it's a very photogenic building and most certainly adds to the joy of walking through this most beautiful of parks in this most beautiful of city's.

On one end of the stadtpark you can fond this great building which first looks very nice and second holds great concerts but was closed due to covid.several years ago i was at a concert there and was great but just to see it from outside is worth as well and then enjoy the stadtpark as well.

This venue is great. it is nice to think that you are sitting in the same room where Johann Strauss Jr. performed over a century ago, and listen to his music. I liked the architecture and ambiance of the concert hall and think it is perfect for the show I saw here. The chandeliers and interior décor are lovely. I intend to come back when next in Vienna.

This is one of the concert halls where the famous Johann Strauss the Second played and it is still continually used today attracting many international tourists. I first went here for a concert in 2005 and was pleased to once again attend a concert here. This time the music was by Mozart and Strauss performed by a chamber ensemble, two singers and two dancers. The acoustics are excellent and I considered that the performances were superior to those I heard in 2005.

Hard to believe the Strauss II performed/conducted his waltz's here in 1868 and later and the concert hall is still performing to big crowds today. Concerts feature Strauss and Mozart. Acoustics are excellent. You can almost see him on the podium.

Kursalon is an absolutely stunning building located by Stadtpark that is famous for holding concerts of the work of Strauss and Mozart.
This beautiful concert hall looks amazing, designed by architect Johann Garben and constructed between 1865 and 1867 , 1868 saw the first concert performed by Johann Strauss take place here, its a really impressive structure, nowadays its four ballrooms spread over two floors and theres a restaurants here also.
I just loved the look of this building, made for some great photographic opportunities its easy to locate on Johannesgasse by Stadtpark and is most definitely well worth checking out if your planning a holiday to Vienna.

In this city of music, VIenna, they're performing Strauss and Mozart masterpieces accompanied with ballet, tenor & soprano performers. Really one of the best must-visit Vienna experience. Got lucky to be 'upgraded' to seat in row 2 on the side.
