The BEST spot of bregenz

The mountain commands a fine veiw of bregenz, lake kontanz and even lindau. During spring and summer, I'd like to recommand to enjoy hiking at here rather than taking a cable car.

from the Pfänder you can see all over the lake of Constance, with good weather more than 65 km, also there are some restaurant, space for walks and an alps zoo.

Only at this location for a few hours so chose to spend the time going up the cable car. Very glad we did. Wonderful views of the lake below and a sense of clean fresh air. The lower station is only a few minutes walk from the lake shore and well sign posted. If you have the time there are... More

We took the cable car up and enjoyed the wonderful views, the food in the café and the walk through the animal park. We then saw a sign for a 1 hr walk back down to the bottom. The path was sealed and smooth with a gently downward slope. We set off. After 5-10 minutes the track turned to gravel,... More

Game park is pretty limited as are the activities up top. Might be fun for younger kids. Best use of the tram is to get some elevation for hiking. But there are cheaper and more scenic trams to accomplish this. We didn’t realize at the time, but an easy option would have been to take the tram up and walk... More

Pfänderbahn is a "must" if you visit Bregenz. You can hike up the mountian in about a hour, or in 7 minutes with the Pfänder lift. Walk around at the top, have lunch - and enjoy the view of three countries or "Bregenz forest" - the beautiful mountians that surround Bregenz. Nice for families - even with a dog.

Pfander Hill is probably the best viewing Point giving you a 3 Country almost 360 degree view from the top with enough to explore and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. At the top, you have a small Kids park with lots of slides and swings, a decent wild life park with lots of Goats, Deers, Pigs and Rabbits, a... More

A Very nice place to picnic with kids and enjoy the cross-country view of Switzerland, Austria and Germany from one place as it has something to offer for everyone. A Play area for kids, a wildlife park for the some-what grown-ups and a nice restaurant offering a good 270° view from the top including the open air opera at Bregenz... More

Two different view in one place. From hill Pfander is a good look of Bodensee and the Alpnes in the same time. There is also a wild park for a walk so it is a perfect place to be.
