About
AUDIOVERSUM is the interactive museum in Innsbruck all about the captivating worlds of listening and wondering. As a ScienceCenter it fascinates visitors from across Austria and beyond with its combination of medicine, technology, education and art and is therefore unique in Europe. The main exhibition “Adventure Hearing”, with its multimedia installations invites visitors to join in and sharpen their senses: by navigating through the ear in 3D, by acoustically hunting invisible birds and by touching oversized sensory cells, visitors explore the manifold functions of hearing. The initiator of the only ScienceCenter in Tyrol is MED-EL, the world's leading supplier of implantable hearing systems. The exhibition concept is extended with regularly changing special exhibitions. Thus, a visit to the Audioversum is always a new experience.

Amazing museum. Most exhibits has English and Italian explanations as well as German. Great interactive exhibits for adults as well as children. So glad I went.

The main exhibition was overall ok, but I expected a bit more from it, not as scientific as we hoped for and in some places if felt it was made interactive just for the sake of being called so. Too bad not everything is translated into English in the exhibition downstairs - if your German is a little rusty, you cannot really enjoy it the way it was meant to, but we still had fun. We spent a good hour there, loved the musical steps.

We were excited to visit Audioversum because my 10 year old son saw about it on Youtube. We had travelled nearly 2.5 KM from our hotel to visit it
We went there by 4:25 PM but denied the entry rudely by saying you need to come at least 2 hours prior to closing time.
Great disappointment to us and especially to my kid.
Knowing that Innsbruck is a tourist place, the open hours window should be increased at least during the peak visitor season.
Or otherwise it should have clearly mentioned on the website about the last entry by 3:00 PM

Dear Santyns, thank you for taking the time to review your experience. We are very sorry that it was a bad one. It is in fact true that our latest admission is at 4:30 PM, as stated on our website, and the visitation of all exhibitions will take 1.5 up to 2 hours. We want to apologize if you and your family had the feeling of being treated impolitely for we are always eager to make a friendly and open impression. If you get the chance it would be a pleasure for us to welcome you in our exhibitions!

This was such a fun little science museum to experience. There were tons of cool science exhibits dealing with smell, hearing, and other senses. Some of the exhibits had interactive tablets that led you through and gave you information in your language which was really neat. I would recommend this for both kids and adults. Admission is included in the Innsbruck card.

Any display is awesome for the visitors if they can interact with the displayed items, touch it, feel it, experience it. This is the right place for it and is very creatively designed. As the name suggests, most of the items deal with the activity involving sound but there is more than that for you to experience like you put your Sense of Smell to test etc. Our children loved it and it was a perfect thing for us to do. Staff members there were very friendly, thmbs up for them!

This museum only has the 3 exhibitions with the main hearing one upstairs, and a brain one on the ground floor. The hearing exhibition is pretty interesting and hands on and overall was pretty fun! Only thing was it’s quite short, we finished it in 30 minutes roughly.
9€ entry for an adult.

Dear Pauliie123, thank you for posting your feedback on Tripadvisor, which is really appreciated. We always strive to offer our visitors wonderful hours in our ScienceCenter and unfortunately you mentioned that your stay was really short. At each exhibit you can find detailled information and short movies to get a better sense of the technology and the science itself. Another possibility would be a guided tour which you can book in advance. It is available for all of our exhibitions and there the guides can answer all your questions properly and respond to your wishes exactly. We would be delighted to welcome you again. Best wishes from the Tyrolean Mountains The Audioversum-Team
