This street is very nice because on each side there’s nice and old houses. There’s a lot of shops and the street is very busy especially when the weather is nice like today. What is exceptional in this street is that it’s the only one when you rise your head that you have a fantastic view on the mountain.

Nice Main Street in centre of Innsbruck leading into Old Town. Street cafes & 2 shopping centres make it a place where you can while way a few hours. Great for people watching.

Easily wheel chair accessible I have an electric scooter and loved being able to ride the long street and people watch. Beautiful buildings and lovely views of the alps behind you. Several street performers. Funny to see a Plant Hollywood Restaurant in this area.

Beautiful area! So much to see. Bring your walking shoes! There is also a large information place at the end of this square. They can give you all the details on what to see.

I love this old town. Been here several times down through the years. Summer or winter, it never fails to impress. Clean. Safe. Happy feel to it. Great variety of boutique shops and restaurants. Easy walking access to the funicular and many of the museums. Good access to public transport and road networks. Superb views of the mountains.

This lengthy street contained the Servite Church at which we attended Mass on a Sunday afternoon at 1730 hours, but the night before, we went for a stroll along it.

The street has a mix of newer and historic buildings with the iconic superb view seen so often in postcards.

There was no rubbish anywhere even though I don't recall seeing rubbish bins.

The Golden Roof dating from 1500 had quite a few photographing and videoing it, but my wife was easily able to sneak in to have her photo taken. Because we saw it at dusk, the attached museum was closed.

Safety did not seem to be a problem, and it wasn't so crowded that pickpockets would try their luck.

We enjoyed exploring this famous street. We visited the stores and churches, admired the architecture and took in the atmosphere. Some landmarks here are iconic as is the famous long perspective of the street with the Impressive Alps in the background. You cannot miss the Maria Theresia Ave.
