You cannot miss this St Anna's Column (Annasaule) as you walk in and around the Maria - Theresien - Strasse area in Innsbruck, ornate, towering above the roof tops.

I love Innsbruck! This has always been one of my favorite cities. I have been dying to get my husband here for 20 years because I wanted him to see what a beautiful city it was. I finally got him here this year for it to only be overcast and foggy. While he was able to see the beautiful buildings,... More

This historical monument was created by an Italian sculptor called Benedetti. There is nothing fascinating in this statue other than for its historical value. If you are interested in history, look up the internet, get a Guide or a Guide book, as otherwise it will be just another pillar. Though it is an old pillar it is still well maintained.

If you pass it while you're walking through the city it is nice to see, but in my opinion not worth to visit in specific.

St.Anna's column or the Annasaule is not well publicized at all. We did not even walk upto that area and were not told about it at all ! I happened to see it in one of the fridge magnets I bought and was wondering what it was. Researching through google and tripadvisor, I found out about. Begging and praying I... More

St Anne's Column is easily accessible and located in the center of Innsbruck old city.... Maria-Theresien-Strasse. A busy gathering point of locals and tourists and you just cannot miss seeing it. You would regret not taking a photo of this interesting monument created to mark Austrian great victory.

If nothing else, this is the place to stand for a photo of the most magnificent backdrop. It is particularly good, late afternoon when all the bust tours have left!
