An absolutely beautiful place! The surrounding mountains, road next to the lake and emerald colored water make this a must stop! There are many places along the road to pull over and enjoy the views. We will definitely be back!

Took a drive up to the Plansee after walking around Oberammergau. It was some of the most beautiful scenery...snow-capped mountains, a large lake the color of emeralds...it was stunning. I am so glad we went — it was a highlight of our trip.

Stopped to view on return from Linderhof. Spectacular, large lake against backdrop of high mountains. Rugged yet tranquil scene. Weather rainy, so colours muted. Didn't stay for very long. Would return.
